About Me

From Darkness to Light:

A Personal Approach to

Therapy & Coaching

As a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, and coach with nearly 15 years of experience, I am proud to partner with Reach in advancing The Reach Approach. My work spans United Kingdom, Abu Dhabi and Pakistan, where I provide culturally sensitive mental health support to individuals seeking healing and growth.

The Reach Approach emphasizes holistic, client-centered care, and I am deeply committed to these principles. My background, enriched by living in various countries, allows me to understand and navigate the complexities of cultural diversity effectively. This understanding is vital when working with clients from different backgrounds, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and valued.

Our Approach

We only see the world from the position in which we are standing and until that position is changed, we are unable to see what the world really has to offer to us.

My aim is to help you find a fresh perspective through which you can come to understand yourself and your life in a new way. Working with me will provide you with an opportunity to discover choices which previously were unknown to you and a chance to resolve old hurts and conflicts to enable you to move on to a new, more contented life.

I offer a supportive non-judgmental environment to my clients to explore uncomfortable thoughts and feelings in their journey of healing.

As someone who has taken the journey myself, I feel am in a position where I can help others through their own darkness with compassion, sensitivity and understanding.

I have been there where you are and am familiar with the fears, anxiety and hopelessness – but I also have the confidence that with sincere guidance, support and commitment.

I can lead you to a new horizon where you will find joy, contentment and happiness in just being who you are.

I invite my clients to embark on a journey of self-examination—one that I have undertaken myself. This journey not only fosters personal growth but also creates a safe space for those who may feel vulnerable, injured, or afraid. I strive to be a compassionate and resourceful guide, helping clients explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment.

If you are seeking support in the UAE or Pakistan, I encourage you to reach out. Together, we can work towards discovering new perspectives and empowering you on your path to healing and well-being.

Frequent Asked Question

You Can Learn More From Our Asked Questions

FAQs are a valuable resource that answer common questions about our services. They clarify how coaching, psychology, and psychotherapy can support your journey. By exploring our FAQs, you can gain insights that help you make informed decisions about your mental health and personal growth.

What is your approach ?

Walk Into Lite is a unique model, which we describe as integrative, holistic, and person-specific. Not only do we ‘integrate’ the major psychological theories and approaches within our work, but we also integrate seemingly unrelated disciplines, which in fact do impact on wellbeing. These include: hydrotherapy, diet and nutrition, metaphysics, epigenetics, orthomolecular medicine, neuroscience, and neurotheology, to name a few.

By ‘holistic’ we mean that we work within a coherent mind-body-spirit-environment model, which recognizes that unless the needs of the individual are addressed in all four of these areas, then health, happiness, and wholeness cannot be sustainably achieved.

What we mean by ‘person-specific’ is that although we have a very clear model and approach, we always adapt it to the individual taking the journey. In other words, we are not fixed as our model is very flexible and fluid – because we know one size does not fit all.

Do you work with specific issues?

Many people come to therapy with a specific issue, only to find that it’s often a symptom rather than the root cause. Through therapy, clients typically uncover deeper concerns. We work with a wide range of issues, including anger, depression, anorexia, bulimia, domestic violence, mental health challenges, conflict resolution, anxiety, abuse, phobias, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, self-harm, and health issues.

This list is not exhaustive. When you reach out, let us know what you’re dealing with, and we’ll let you know if we can help. With our broad expertise, we’re confident we can assist, but if not, we’ll refer you to the right resources.

We offer therapy individually, for couples, and for families. We also run tailored group therapy sessions, such as personal development, anxiety management, cultural awareness, and confidence-building. Group sizes are small, usually no more than eight participants, to ensure a supportive and effective environment. Some training groups may have up to 10.

How much do you charge?

It is best to determine exact costings with the therapist in your initial discussions.

How long does therapy take?

The question of how long therapy should last has become a topic of debate in the field of counselling and psychotherapy. Over recent years, there’s been a growing trend toward shorter therapy sessions. While there’s clinical evidence supporting the effectiveness of brief interventions for certain clients and situations, there’s also ample evidence showing that some clients require a longer-term approach to truly benefit.

At Walk Into Lite, we don’t believe in setting strict time limits for therapy. Our experience has shown that two people seeking help for the same issue, like anxiety, may require vastly different amounts of time to find resolution. One person might resolve their issue in 6 to 12 weeks, while another could need 6 to 12 months. This variation can be due to many factors, but a key one is how much effort and commitment the individual brings to the process. Clients who actively engage with the work we offer often see faster, more significant results—sometimes even exceeding their own expectations.

We also don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. The life experiences that contribute to an individual’s struggles may require different amounts of time, sensitivity, and empathy to resolve. Therefore, we don’t operate on a strict timetable. We regularly review progress, of course, but we’re not driven by the clock.

It’s also crucial to understand that therapy should be measured by actual “contact hours” with your therapist, not by how many weeks, months, or even years have passed. For example, someone who has attended weekly sessions for a year might have only spent two full days in therapy if they’ve attended 48 sessions. So, it’s not accurate to say you’ve had “years of therapy” if the actual time spent with the therapist is limited. The time between sessions is equally important, as it’s an opportunity to reflect, process your insights, and put the guidance into practice—this often has a huge impact on the overall outcome.

Can you recommend any books?

Yes, I can certainly recommend some books. However, I believe that no single book will provide all the answers. That said, there are definitely books that can help guide you on your journey of self-discovery, depending on what you’re looking for. For this reason, I have a Recommended Reading section on our website. Feel free to explore it—we’re confident you’ll find something that aligns with your needs. Additionally, your therapist will also suggest relevant and appropriate reading materials as you progress in your journey.

Confidentiality

Clients can rest assured that any issues or concerns they bring to therapy will be handled with the utmost confidentiality. If you ever have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to discuss them with me.

What we do isn’t magic but it is magical

I don’t make empty promises. You’ll notice that I often use the word “work”—because real change requires effort. If you’re looking for lasting peace, confidence, and clarity, it’s essential that you put in the work for it to happen.

Simply reading books, attending workshops, or seeing a therapist won’t bring about true personal transformation on their own. What matters is what you do with the insights and tools you gain. Intentions are important, but they are only the beginning. I don’t offer quick fixes here, but the work I do with you is truly transformative.

To experience lasting change, you must be actively involved. I provide a wealth of resources in various formats to support you, but ultimately, the outcome depends on how much you engage with the process.

Without your active participation, progress will be limited. Therapy isn’t something that happens to you—it’s a collaboration that requires honesty, courage, and consistent effort. From my experience, those who commit to the work always reach their desired outcomes.
